Job summary

Qualifications

• English literacy and basic math skills are required.
• Experience in grain handling or storage is preferred (2 months).
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to climb a vertical grain leg.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scale tickets and monitor moisture/grade standards.
• Transfer grain to proper storage locations and from bins to truck bins.
• Operate augers and conveyors; clear jams to maintain grain movement.
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance on augers and grain bins and related equipment.
• Possibly operate machinery for storage facility maintenance and farm trucks (no CDL required).
• Daily duties may vary with crop and weather conditions.
