Job summary

Eurofins Grain Inspection is looking for a grain inspector to test and grade grain samples, ensuring moisture, weight, foreign material, and mycotoxin levels meet industry standards. You will communicate results to truck drivers, merchandisers, and farmers, and maintain smooth lab operations.

Responsibilities include mentoring new inspectors, staying current with USDA standards, and upholding safety and environmental guidelines while supporting efficient grain handling in a collaborative lab

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-3 years related experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools and data entry.

What You'll Do

• Test and grade grain samples for moisture, weight, foreign material, mycotoxins, non-GMO traits, and more

• Act as a backup sampler/prober and handle all related paperwork
• Serve as a trusted liaison between Eurofins, farmers, and grain companies
• Mentor new inspectors, sharing your expertise and passion for the industry
• Keep the lab clean, safe, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental guidelines
• Recommend improvements to equipment and processes for greater efficiency
• Stay up to date on USDA grain standards and emerging agricultural trends
• Contribute to a collaborative, ethical work environment that values every team member

• Able to stand or sit for long stretches, lift up to 15 pounds, and navigate stairs
• Proud to support farmers and rural livelihoods-with reliable transportation to our facility

Work Environment

You'll be working in a laboratory setting within an industrial facility. Expect:

Compensation

$16.00 per hour

Schedule

6:45am to 12pm Monday - Friday with some weekends possible during harvest
