Job summary

FS Companies is seeking a General Labor position at our grain facility. The role involves operating grain handling equipment, loading and unloading grain, and ensuring safe storage and quality control.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma, GED or related experience equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred.
• Ability to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate grain handling equipment (conveyors, augers, elevators) to move grains throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, and transport grains (corn, wheat, soybeans) from trucks, trailers and trains.
• Ensure proper storage of grains to maintain quality and prevent spoilage or contamination.
• Inspect grain for quality and remove foreign objects; ensure proper sorting.
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with monitoring grain quality and report issues related to pests or moisture.
• Work from heights and in various weather conditions.
• Assist with loading grains for shipment and ensure timely delivery.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Attend meetings and training; adhere to company policies and EHS/DOT rules.
• Maintain inventory of parts for repairs and maintenance.
