Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Grain Facility Superintendent in Freeport to oversee day-to-day grain handling operations, champion safety, and drive efficiency at a key facility.

You will supervise location staff, manage logistics, inventory, and maintenance while promoting a positive community presence. Required is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership, communication, and safety focus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in various sides of the grain/terminal operations.
  • Ability to lead staff, manage safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees in all activities for all applicable operations at assigned location.
  • Ensure profitability and develop improvement plans for areas below benchmark.
  • Lead, direct, and communicate the company’s safety program; schedule monthly safety meetings and set safety goals.
  • Ensure OSHA and environmental regulation compliance and proper PPE use.
  • Manage staffing, training, performance, and scheduling; plan shifts and vacations.
  • Coordinate with Marine Services, Merchandisers, and CTLC to meet loading/transfer needs.
