Job summary

Central Valley Ag is hiring an Operations (DOT) role in Oakland to support receiving, shipping and handling grain and agronomy products. The job includes driving company trucks, assisting with fertilizer and chemical mixing, and ensuring safe operations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. CDL with tanker/HazMat endorsements and a Commercial Applicator’s License are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma.
• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• Preferred Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Preferred Commercial Applicator’s License.
• Knowledge of DOT experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally and establish effective working relationships.
• Great basic mechanical skills.
• Safety is a priority in all tasks.
• Self-starter with good prioritization and organization.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload grain products from trucks, both company and customer owned.
• Deliver agronomy products such as fertilizer, chemical and seed to customers.
• Load agronomy products onto customer trucks.
• Receive dry/liquid fertilizer, chemicals and seed.
• Assist in plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Schedule, mix, and load liquid/dry fertilizer and chemicals.
• Ensure accurate mixing of chemicals and fertilizers and assist with blender operations.
• Drive company trucks to transfer grain and agronomy products.
• Back-up for custom applicators if certified.
• Monitor grain quality and manage inventory.
