Job summary

Landus Cooperative is seeking a motivated teammate to support our outside agronomy and grain operations. You will greet customers, assist with grain origination, marketing, and related elevator tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean facility.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occa­sionally 100), and a High school diploma or GED. CDL with endorsements and DOT compliance are a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain and grow agronomy, feed sales and grain origination.
  • Assist in elevator operations and grain handling.
  • Receiving and unloading grain.
  • Grain drying operations.
  • Grain inventory measurements on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Grain train loading operations and car sealing.
  • Keep facility clean and safe; housekeeping records current.
  • Maintain grain condition by testing temperatures and blending.
  • Assist in fertilizer and chemical operations as applicable.
  • Measure inventory and report to supervisor.
  • Assist in unloading bulk and packaged product.
  • Provide customer service and load chemical orders.
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
  • Pumping bulk chemicals into customer tanks.
  • Tender to applicators.
  • Fill NH3 nurse tanks during season.
  • Understand basic agronomy chemistry.

Skills

Valid driver's license
