Job summary

Landus is seeking a team member to support outside agronomy and grain operations in a busy cooperative environment. You will greet customers, help grow sales, manage grain handling and participate in elevator duties to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include grain receiving/unloading, inventory measurement, drying, and assisting fertilizer/chemical activities as needed. Strong customer service and basic agronomy knowledge are important for success.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to move and lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously.
• Maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers.
• Assist in all aspects of elevator operations, if applicable to location.
• Receiving and unloading grain operations.
• Grain drying operations.
• Measuring grain inventory on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Grain train loading operations including cleaning and sealing cars.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and housekeeping records.
• Maintain grain condition by testing temperatures and blending.
• Assist in fertilizer and chemical operations as applicable.
• Measure inventory and report to supervisor.
• Assist in unloading bulk and packaged products.
• Provide customer service by loading chemical product orders.
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
• Pumping bulk chemicals into customer tanks.
• Tender to applicators.
• Fill NH3 nurse tanks during season.
• Understand basic agronomy chemistry of all products.
