American University is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The TA will support faculty in delivering courses, conduct office hours, participate in grading, and help with tutoring and lab sessions.
Enrollment in a AU graduate program is required, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science. Strong academic performance and effective communication are essential.

Summary:
The Teaching Assistant (TA) supports the instructional mission of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics by assisting faculty in the delivery of undergraduate or graduate courses. TAs play a vital role in fostering student learning and engagement through instructional support, grading, tutoring, office hours, in-class assistance, material preparation, and other tasks, depending on the particular course needs.
