Job summary

Greenville University seeks a Graduate Assistant Coach for its NCAA Division III softball program. The GA will assist in all aspects of the softball program and take on secondary duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities include planning and leading practices, identifying and engaging prospective student-athletes, mentoring students academically and spiritually, managing team operations, and supporting events and fundraising.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and acceptance into a Greenville University Graduate Program.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaching & Training: Assist in planning and leading practices and competitions.
• Recruitment & Retention: Help identify and engage prospective student-athletes through emails, phone calls, letters, and social media.
• Academic & Spiritual Mentorship: Support student-athletes’ academic progress and lead team Bible studies or faith-based mentorship initiatives.
• Administrative Support: Manage team operations, maintain databases, and assist in fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.
• Game Day & Event Management: Assist with athletic events, performances, and university-related activities as assigned by the Director of Athletics
