Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Digital Signals & RF Engineering Grad Intern for the DCID in the Mission Payloads Division in El Segundo, CA. This 100% onsite, full-time internship supports GNSS, FPGA, and SDR efforts across advanced digital communications.

You will contribute to prototype development and documentation for DoD and civil customers. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited program (Masters/PhD) and able to obtain a US security clearance; transcripts are

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a master's or PhD in Electrical, Computer or related engineering discipline.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program after completion.
• Experience with coding using MATLAB, C/C++, Python, VHDL.
• Academic/project experience with digital signal processing and Digital Communications concepts.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop and implement signal processing algorithms for GNSS/SDR receivers and/or DSP on FPGA hardware or software.
• Support analysis of signal processing performance using Python or similar environments.
• Prototype cutting-edge real-time systems for emulation and concept validation.
• Assist in research related to signal processing, GNSS tech and Alternative PNT concepts.
• Document work products in briefings and technical reports for customers.
