ByteDance is seeking graduates to join the Seed LLM team in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on advancing next-generation LLMs, including pretraining/posttraining, inference optimization, memory capabilities, learning, and interpretability.

Successful candidates must commit to an onboarding date by year-end and clearly state graduation dates in their resume. We encourage applying early as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Excellent coding ability, data structures, and fundamental algorithm skills, proficient in C/C++ or Python.
• Demonstrated interest or project experience in LLM-related areas such as training, evaluation, or applications.

Responsabilités

• Explore large-scale models and optimize systems.
• Data construction, instruction tuning, preference alignment, and model optimization.
• Improving model capabilities such as reasoning, code, math, etc.
• In-depth research and exploration of future use cases.
