Job description

Description: The Horticulture Weed Science Lab at the Louisiana State University AgCenter Hammond Research Station under Dr. Colton Blankenship is seeking motivated applicants for a graduate research assistantship position (M.S.) beginning in Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2027. Program areas include weed management in turfgrass, landscape and nursery ornamentals, and fruit and vegetable crops. Research topics may include herbicide efficacy and crop tolerance, cultural weed management practices, and weed biology/ecology.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred applicants should have a background in agronomy, weed science, turfgrass science, landscape horticulture, or related disciplines.

• B.S. degree in agronomy, weed science, turfgrass science, landscape horticulture, biology, environmental sciences, or related disciplines
• Strong leadership and communication skills
