Job summary

IMC Trading in Chicago is seeking a Quantitative Researcher to advance our trading models with rigorous analysis, mathematics, and software skills. You will collaborate with Traders and Developers to push research from idea to deployment.

You will design and implement mathematical models, build tools, and maintain production-grade code, supported by a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits. Start dates February or August 2027.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or another highly quantitative field.
• Passion for research and problem solving.
• Rigorous data analysis approach and strong intuition.
• Creative thinker eager to solve challenging problems collaboratively.
• Proficiency in a programming language (Python, C, C++, etc) is highly desired.
• Available for full-time employment starting in February or August 2027.
