Job summary

Harvard University in Cambridge, MA seeks a seasoned manager to lead the FAS graduate student appointments function within GSAS. You will oversee the Science Division Appointments team, manage RA and TF/RA appointments, ensure compliance with university policies, and coordinate with multiple offices to support graduate funding and scheduling.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to develop staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HRIS and student information systems (Aurora or equivalent).
• Knowledge of federal sponsored programs and grant management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Leadership, coaching, and staff development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the RA appointment process for graduate students in FAS-based programs.
• Coordinate with GSAS Academic Programs and Financial Aid for compliance with academic rules and policies.
• Directly manage and develop the Science Division Appointments team.
• Ensure seamless information flow between departments and offices.
• Develop and maintain relationships with partner offices (e.g., Harvard International Office, Office of Sponsored Research).
• Oversee quality control and compliance with university policy across the team.
