Summary

This position works under and reports to the Director of Career Services. The Graduate Placement Coordinator is a vital role responsible for connecting students or program participants with potential employers. This role involves understanding the needs and aspirations of students, aligning them with suitable job opportunities, maintaining relationships with employers, and staying updated on market trends. Responsibilities include re-engaging graduates, providing personalized career counseling, and ensuring students are well-prepared for employment. It is a challenging and rewarding position that directly impacts student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities for students.
• Assist students with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Conduct individual and group career counseling sessions.
• Track and monitor student placement data and employment outcomes.
• Update and maintain job placement databases and career resources.
• Provide ongoing support to students throughout their job search process.
• Stay informed about job market trends and emerging industries.
