Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a Graduate Nurse to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed RN. The positions are located at various correctional facilities throughout Michigan, with the option to select preferred locations and shifts during application.

You'll be working within secure MDOC facilities, and after obtaining RN licensure within six months of hire, the role may be reclassified to the Registered Nurse P11.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
• No specific type or amount of prior experience is required.
• Upon obtaining licensure within six months of hire, the position may be reclassified to the Registered Nurse P11.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance and direct oversight of a licensed RN, perform a range of patient care tasks.
• Work within the secure perimeter of MDOC facilities to support nursing care.
• Positions located at various correctional facilities across Michigan; assignments may change by facility.
