Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Graduate Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient unit. Under leadership, the GN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises patient care according to standards and may direct co-workers in implementing plans of care.

The position may require working in other areas based on staff skill and patient acuity, with a focus on exceptional service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate of a nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN licensure in state or compact state required within 90 days.
• BLS certification required within 90 days; ACLS if inpatient area requires it within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessment/reassessment of patient and documents in medical record.
• Analyzes collected information to determine patient needs and expected outcomes.
• Develops and implements plan of care based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Ensures a discharge plan is part of the individualized plan of care when appropriate.
• Engages in patient/family/staff teaching to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
