The Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, invites new graduates to begin their RN careers through our New Graduate Nurse program. Qualified graduates from ADN, BSN, or MSN programs are guided by our Nurse Recruitment team as they transition to staff roles.

Applicants will choose available units during application, with tracks in Critical Care, Medical/Surgical, Neurosciences, Oncology, and Orthopedics, reinforcing our Magnet hospital status and commitment to nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate nurses must be prepared to perform direct patient care activities after completing a nursing program.
• Will be required to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• Must remain employed in a health system in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts plans of care accordingly.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory activities.
• Engages in professional development.
