Qualifications

• Must obtain nursing licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• Completed nursing program with a diploma/associate degree.
• Eligible for Nurse Residency and student nurse opportunities within BJC HealthCare.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on illness management, home care needs and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and address patients’ physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements care plans with the health care team according to standards of nursing care.
• Evaluates patient response and adjusts plans during the stay.
• Supports patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
