Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is hiring Graduate Nurses as full-time Professional Staff Nurses, with roles secured up to a year before graduation. The program supports nurses financially and professionally from day one, including loan repayment and tuition assistance.

RNs work rotating shifts to cover 24/7 operations, with pathways through the My Nursing Career Ladder and licensure requirements explained on hire. Diploma through direct-entry master’s levels are welcome.

Qualifications

• GNs must be eligible for State Board Licensure or have a Temporary Practice Permit and commit to taking the NCLEX within four months of hire.
• CPR required per AHA standards with both didactic and skills components within 30 days of hire.
• Act 34, 33, and 73 Clearances; Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly competent patient care and treatment with empathy and a passion for learning.
• Establish relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients and families to achieve desired outcomes.
• Set the standards for nursing care and hold yourself accountable for its provision.
• Shifts/Hours: rotating schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.
