Job summary

French Prairie Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Woodburn, OR is seeking a compassionate Graduate Nurse Assistant (Graduate NA) to join our team. Starting pay is $22.57/hr with full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available, located at French Prairie Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – Woodburn, OR.

You will provide direct resident care under licensed supervision, helping create a compassionate environment and supporting residents and families.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Graduated from an approved Nurse Assistant (NA) training course within the past 60 days in the state where you will practice.
  • Must be able to obtain CNA certification within 120 days of hire; title will change to CNA upon certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate positively with residents, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to meet health requirements, including a post-employment physical if required.
  • Must complete required drug screen, background check, and references.

Responsibilities

  • Take and record residents’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and mobility.
  • Apply proper lifting, transferring, and postural techniques.
  • Maintain proper resident positioning and provide support.
  • Weigh residents according to schedule and document results.
  • Assist with restorative and rehabilitative nursing services.
  • Respond to resident and family needs within your scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with the caregiving team to resolve concerns.
  • Respond to call lights promptly and ensure resident dignity.

As a Graduate NA, you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands‑on experience while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. You’ll provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals while helping create a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Graduate NA, you will:

  • Take and accurately record residents’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
  • Apply appropriate lifting, transferring, and postural support techniques.
  • Maintain proper resident positioning and provide support as needed.
  • Weigh residents according to schedule and accurately document results.
  • Assist with restorative and rehabilitative nursing services.
  • Respond appropriately to resident and family needs and concerns within your scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with the caregiving team to identify and resolve resident and family concerns.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and other resident needs.
  • Treat every resident with compassion, dignity, and respect.
  • Build positive and effective relationships with residents and their families.
  • Ensure residents receive the correct diet and appropriate nutritional support.
  • Use proper feeding techniques while maintaining each resident’s dignity and encouraging social interaction.
What You’ll Need
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have graduated from an approved Nurse Assistant (NA) training course within the past 60 days in the state where you will practice.
  • Must be able to obtain Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification within 120 days of hire. Upon certification, your title will change to Certified Nurse Assistant, and you must maintain current certification throughout employment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to communicate positively and respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • A willingness to support and assist fellow team members.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to meet applicable health requirements, including a post-employment physical exam if required.
  • Must successfully complete required drug screening, criminal background check, and reference verification.
