ByteDance's E-commerce Global Supply Chain and Logistics team in Seattle is seeking graduate software engineers to apply ML, OR, data mining and statistics to real-world challenges in the global ecommerce logistics domain.

Successful candidates will onboard by end of 2026 and join a team that focuses on reducing costs while enhancing the shopping experience, with opportunities to grow through cutting-edge research and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in AI, CS, OR, automation, statistics, or math.
• Proficient in ML and statistics with practical application.
• Proficient in Python or Java and familiar with ML/DL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep learning and OR models for global ecommerce supply chain.
• Predict ETA and logistic events using big data and ML.
• Build logistics network graphs and predict package trajectories.
• Apply time-series forecasting for sales, warehouse manpower, and demand.
• Collaborate with merchants/ops/product teams to drive growth and cost optimization.
