Job summary

Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate in an applicable field related to the assigned course(s), such as Health and Physical Education, Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Sport Management, Tourism, Public Health, or Foods and Nutrition
• Prior instructional experience in online and/or in-person teaching, as applicable to the assignment, and relevant experience in the specific discipline
• Skills include engaging teaching methods; proficiency with instructional technology; effective communication and collaboration; online course design or coordination experience may be relevant

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses in person and/or online within the faculty member’s area of expertise
• Collaborate with campus faculty and relevant program personnel
• Effectively use appropriate instructional technologies, course delivery systems, tools, and teaching methods for the assigned delivery format
• Maintain accurate course records and submit grades and other required documentation by established deadlines
• Follow university, school, program, and course policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned
