About The Role, Your Impact Baxter & Woodman has a fulfilling opportunity for a Graduate Engineer I in our Houston or Katy, TX office. We are looking to qualified applicants to start in 2025 or 2026.

What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job

• Responsible for assisting Project Manager(s) by providing engineering design support on various municipal projects.
• Assist with the preparation of construction plans and specifications, design calculations, various engineering reports and feasibility studies, bond application reports, quantity and cost estimates, and schedules.
• Periodically conduct on-site observation of construction projects progress, take measurements, and coordinate with field project representatives and/or contractors.
• Work assignments will include working both independently and as part of a team.

Education Requirement

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

• Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in the state of Texas or be capable of passing, or transferring, exam within the first six months of employment.
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s service area (own transportation).
• Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
• Ability to start in 2025 or 2026.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $74,000 to $77,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
