Job summary

OSU-Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure-track instructor positions to teach term-by-term for the 2026-2027 academic year. Appointments may be renewed annually at the Dean’s discretion.

Start dates include 2026-09-16, 2026-12-16, or 2027-03-16, with the position located in Bend. The Master in Counseling Program aims to provide graduate education across counseling disciplines, fostering critical thinking and advancing student knowledge through diverse courses

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling (CMHC, SC, MCFC) or related field.
• Licensed/certified professional counselor or related license.
• Ability to foster inclusive excellence in counseling instruction.

Responsibilities

• Administer and teach course(s) term-by-term in Counseling (Clinical Mental Health and School).
• Complete course assessment processes and improve teaching effectiveness.
• Advise students, hold office hours, maintain records and perform minor admin tasks.

Education

Master’s degree in Counseling (CMHC, SC, MCFC) or related field (or related field such as Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy)

Licensed and/or certified as a professional counselor (e.g., LPC, LSC, ACS, NCC) or related profession (LCSW, LMFT, TSPC, NCT)

Ability to integrate inclusive excellence into instruction and mentorship (Clinical Mental Health & School Counseling contexts)
