Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking new graduates for a Graduate Civil Engineer I role in Corpus Christi, TX.

You will assist in designing and producing construction plans for local infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, water/sewer systems, parks, and site developments, under PE mentorship. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and clear communication as you balance multiple priorities and grow technical skills with CAD, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent
• 0-3 years of Local Infrastructure/Public Works or Land Development experience preferred
• Passed the FE exam or able to pass within 6 months of hire
• Texas EIT license or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and CAD tools
• Ability to balance multiple objectives and make good decisions
• Proficiency in CAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other design software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Graduate Engineer I, Local Infrastructure/Public Works

Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Corpus Christi, TX office. This position will assist in the design and production of construction plans for municipal projects such as roadways, storm drainage systems, pipelines for water supply and sewage collection, city parks and facilities, civil site design, and stream bank stabilization. You will work as part of a team under the mentorship of a Professional Engineers (PEs) who is eager to help you grow. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, critical thinker, and problem solver. Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take on new challenges with excellent communication skills.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with a talented engineering team to solve design challenges and produce construction plans for local infrastructure projects.
• Use design software and drafting tools to accurately display and visually communicate calculations, and design layouts, and concepts in order to create construction plans to build infrastructure improvements.
• Drafts reports and present plans to audiences with a wide range of backgrounds and technical knowledge, translating engineering and scientific information into easily digestible concepts.
• Estimates construction costs and quantities, perform site visits, and review contractor submittals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree.
• 0-3 years of experience in Local Infrastructure/Public Works or Land Development.
• Passed the FE exam or able to pass within 6 months of hire.
• Have a current Texas EIT license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Knowledge of the materials, methods, and equipment involved in the construction or repair of civil engineering related improvements.
• Able to balance multiple and frequently conflicting objectives and make good decisions.
• Technical experience in computer-assisted design (CAD), AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design, modeling, data recording, and analyzation related software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.
