Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited school required.
• Engineer-in-Training certification in Texas preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
• Possess valid Texas driver’s license and meet firm’s auto insurability requirements.
• Good oral and written communications skills and ability to work in teams; self-motivated with good attendance; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction materials testing investigations and studies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform engineering observations at work sites and direct technical staff and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review draft-engineering reports based on project data and field notes.
• Dictate, detail, and photograph findings of field observations for draft reports.
• Review laboratory and field test reports and forward for Professional Engineer signature.
• Maintain close contact with clients during each project.
• Assist in project scope development, testing protocol design, and invoicing prep.
