Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to perform construction inspection and materials testing on projects across the tri-state area (PA/NJ/DE). The role offers hands-on experience and exposure to earthwork, reinforced concrete, and masonry, with training and certification support provided by the firm.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering and possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with FE/EIT as a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study.
• F.E./E.I.T. is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with appropriate supervision.
• Familiar with standard MS Office Suite (i.e. MS Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting codes and standards
• Taking written and performance exams for certifications
• Working in the field on construction sites
• Performing material testing of concrete, soil, and masonry.
• Performing field observations and writing comprehensive reports on a daily basis
• Communicate and coordinate with supervisors, contractors, clients, and engineers
• Maintain a reliable means of transportation and be on time for daily assignments
