Job summary

Lenoir-Rhyne University is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support the NSF Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program within the College of Education & Human Services. The GA will assist with administration, recruitment, student engagement and day-to-day operations of the Noyce Scholars Program.

The role provides hands-on experience in grant-supported program administration, student recruitment and educator preparation, with duties including outreach, record keeping and materials preparation.

Qualifications

• Current full-time enrollment in a graduate program at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related human services field.
• Experience in higher education office or administrative setting.
• Experience with public schools or educational organizations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with common Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Work approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, with a regular schedule established in coordination with Noyce Program staff.
• Assist with recruitment activities and outreach to identify and engage prospective Noyce Scholars.
• Collaborate with Graduate Admissions staff to support recruitment and communications with prospective students.
• Communicate with prospective applicants and current Noyce Scholars regarding program activities and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for applicants and scholars.
• Assist with tracking scholar participation, academic progress and licensure progress.
• Prepare materials and documents associated with the program.
• Develop and distribute program communications and event information.
• Coordinate communication among scholars, faculty, offices and partners.
• Support Noyce Summer Institute and other scholar development activities.
• Represent the Noyce Scholars Program at recruitment activities and university events.
