Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a Temporary Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Game Promotion to enhance fan experience, promote NCAA Division II programs, and drive attendance at home events. You will plan promotional campaigns, coordinate in-game entertainment, and supervise student workers while maintaining branding across campaigns.

This hourly, temporary role supports game-day operations, social media management, and collaboration with coaches and campus partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree requirement for graduate student assistant role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience with social media platforms and events preferred.
  • Knowledge of NCAA athletics regulations desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and execution of athletic marketing campaigns and in-game promotions.
  • Support game-day operations including setup, PA scripts, music coordination, and halftime activities.
  • Develop promotional strategies to increase attendance and student engagement.
  • Manage athletics social media with promotional content and event information.
  • Collaborate with coaches, student organizations, and campus departments to promote events.
  • Create marketing materials such as flyers, digital graphics, email campaigns, and video board content.
  • Track attendance and engagement metrics for reporting.
  • Coordinate with sponsors and vendors to ensure activation and visibility; recruit volunteers.
  • Maintain branding consistency across promotions and event presentations.
  • Organize events including youth clinics, theme nights, alumni events, and postseason tournaments.
  • Execute pregame to postgame promotional timelines and assist video board/crowd elements.
