Job summary

Oklahoma Baptist University is seeking an entry-level Admissions Recruiter with some remote work capabilities to build a strong applicant pool for graduate and online programs. You will engage with prospective students, represent the university at events, and guide applicants through the admissions process.

Responsibilities include advising, developing recruitment plans, maintaining data in the admissions system, and delivering excellent customer service to students and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of customer service experience.
• Access to and ability to use a telephone.
• Mobility to walk around campus.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• Membership in evangelical Christian church required; Southern Baptist church membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in recruitment efforts to attract a diverse and qualified pool of graduate and online students.
• Represent the university at recruitment events on- and off-campus; provide accurate information about programs and admission requirements.
• Conduct advising sessions with prospective graduate students to address needs and questions.
• Assist applicants in navigating the admissions process and deadlines.
• Recommend recruiting plans and marketing strategies to meet admission goals.
• Maintain contact with prospective students from inquiry through admissions.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize yield of enrolled students.
• Maintain communications and admissions data in the university system.
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and current students and stakeholders.
