Job summary

Goodwill Dallas is seeking an Entry Level Textile Grader in Rockwall, TX. The role involves grading donated textiles by brand and quality and maintaining a clean, safe work area. You will follow the good, better, and best grading process and adhere to the dress code and appearance standards.

The position is full-time with daytime shifts. Previous retail or stock handling experience is preferred, and the job requires standing for long periods and reading and speaking English.

Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Leader, the Textile Grader is responsible for grading donated textiles based on brand and quality using Goodwill’s good, better, and best grading process. In addition, the Textile Grader must maintain the production area by keeping the workstation clean, neat, and in a safe condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIEs

1. Grade donated textile based on brand and quality using Goodwill’s good, better, and best grading process.
2. Keep the production area clean, neat, and safe.
3. Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

1. Assist in textile and miscel power hour process per established procedure.
2. Responsible for performing their assigned duties within the framework of our Core Principles.
3. Attending in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader.
4. Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead and Production Team Lead.

Education and/or Experience:

Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull.
• Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
