Job summary

Crain's Creek Middle School in Carthage, NC seeks a Grade 6 Social Studies teacher for a 10-month term. The ideal candidate holds North Carolina Educator’s Licensure in the assigned area and will deliver standards-based instruction while supporting student growth.

You will participate in staff meetings, supervise activities as needed, and ensure compliance with district policies and professional standards under Moore County Schools.

Qualifications

• Must hold North Carolina Educator’s Licensure in the assigned area.
• 10-month term of employment.
• Exempt under FLSA.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at school each day prepared to complete all assigned duties.
• Develop and deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction that supports educational goals.
• Complete extracurricular and non-instructional duties as assigned by the principal or supervisors.
• Participate in required staff meetings and student-related meetings, including those for students with special needs.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans to ensure superior delivery of the curriculum.
• Manage student behavior to minimize disruption and refer for disciplinary action when necessary.
• Respond to parent inquiries, complaints and/or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete and transmit all required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
