Pelham Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 4 Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national curriculum standards.
- - Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation from all students.
- - Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide constructive feedback.
- - Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and share best practices.
- - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress.
- - Participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and community events to support the school’s mission and goals.
- - Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and backgrounds.
- - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- - Foster a love of learning by encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among students.
Requirements
- - MA DESE Elementary, 1-6 License
- - Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a valid teaching certification for Grade 4 is required.
- - Proven experience in teaching elementary school students, preferably in a Grade 4 setting.
- - Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- - Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning.
- - Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school community.
