Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establishes and (as necessary) adjusts instructional goals and objectives to reflect district/school goals, curriculum policies, and student needs.
• Designs lessons that provide problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills for authentic real-world problems.
• Establishes and maintains standards for behavior fostering student self-discipline and positive relationships.
• Commits to ongoing professional development in content area and pedagogy.
• Plans learning activities addressing individual differences among students.
• Develops, administers, and evaluates quality formative and summative assessments.
• Monitors and evaluates students' progress in relation to curriculum policies and goals.
• Encourages and maintains involvement of parents and community members in instruction.
• Involves parents in assessment of their children's progress and needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
