Responsibilities

• Cooperates in developing a program of continuous progress aligned with district goals.
• Keeps abreast of changes and district policies and students' needs.
• Establishes clear objectives for classroom activities and communicates them to students.
• Uses effective instructional methods and materials to meet objectives.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Analyzes progress and seeks assistance as needed.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers; evaluate their performance.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Provide substitute lesson plans and evaluate substitutes.
• Communicate with parents and involve them in education-related activities.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policies.
• Uphold school rules and policies, and perform duties on time.
• Support staff development and participate in district activities.
