Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks a qualified teacher to contribute to a positive educational atmosphere and collaborate with administrators, curriculum specialists, and staff in program development.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and certification or eligibility for Florida teaching certification, with strong communication, planning and classroom management skills to support student learning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Certification or eligible for certification by the Florida State Department of Education to teach in the State of Florida.
Knowledge of prescribed curriculum and child development; ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Works with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement hands-on programs and activities for students and the school.
Participates as an active member with other faculty and staff.
Participates in a cooperative effort with faculty and staff to plan, implement and evaluate programs of continuing school improvement.
Maintains all records as required, including but not limited to grade books, attendance records and student progress reports.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
