Responsibilities

• Plan Curriculum and Instruction
• Draws on content standards from the relevant curriculum frameworks to plan sequential units of study, individual lessons, and learning activities
• Provides differentiated learning experiences that enable all students to make progress
• Design units of instruction with criteria established by the district
• Develops well-structured lessons with measurable objectives and engagement strategies
• Designs and administers a variety of informal and formal assessments
• Organizes and analyzes results to determine progress and adjust practice
• Provides regular feedback to students and families on performance
• Engages families as active participants
• Maintains two-way communication with families regarding student performance
• Collaborates with colleagues to support improved student learning
• Communicates and enforces standards for student work
• Utilizes routines to sustain a safe learning environment
• Reflects on practice and seeks improvement from supervisors and colleagues
• Selects and requests books, supplies, and technologies to support instruction
• Develops strategies to improve learning and behavior of all students
