Job summary

West Side Beer Distributing is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver for local beverage deliveries in the Grand Rapids area. This is a home-daily, local route with steady hours, no overnight travel, and a 4-day work week.

You will deliver to retailers and restaurants, verify inventory, and maintain delivery paperwork with a focus on professional customer service. The role requires a CDL, DOT medical certification, and strong safety and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years CDL driving or route delivery experience preferred.
• Valid CDL License and DOT Medical Certification required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort using handheld routing equipment.
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 48ft automatic tractor-trailer following DOT and company regulations.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Deliver products to retail accounts and ensure orders are accurate and handled with care.
• Verify truck inventory against load sheets and complete all delivery documentation.
• Use and maintain material-handling equipment such as dollies and carts.
• Rotate stock to meet company and supplier freshness standards.
• Build positive customer relationships and communicate effectively at each stop.
• Present invoices and obtain signatures for proof of delivery.
• Maintain organized route paperwork, receipts, and delivery records.
• Participate in required meetings and complete all product, safety, and compliance training.

We’re looking for a dependable CDL-A Driver to deliver beverage products to retailers and restaurants in the Grand Rapids area. This is a local, home-daily route with steady hours, predictable schedules, and no over-the-road travel. • Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Schedule: 4, 10 hour shifts (Tuesday – Friday)
• Compensation: Starting at $173 per day + commission per case
• Reports To: Delivery Manager
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

About the Role

The position requires adherence to DOT regulations, MLCC guidelines, company policies, and all safety standards.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 160 lbs. with assistance or equipment

• Work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather
• Work in retail and warehouse environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
• Safely operate all assigned delivery equipment and maintain a clean, safe vehicle
