AMD is seeking a GPU PCBA Debug and Failure Analysis Engineer to join the Quality Returns Debug Team in Austin. You will reproduce reported GPU accelerator failures, isolate root causes, and work with design, validation, firmware, and manufacturing to drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in GPU architecture and debug.
• Experience with PCBA failure analysis from NPI through production.
• Ability to design experiments to reproduce failures and isolate root causes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PCBA-level AMD GPU product failures and drive root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute DOE tests to reproduce hard-to-find failures.
• Create automation and tools to run tests and analyze results/logs.
• Coordinate with Design, BIOS, firmware, and manufacturing to converge on failures.
• Document findings in FA database and produce customer-ready reports.
• Present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Improve failure analysis processes and procedures continually.
• Set up new products and test stations for FA operations.
