Job summary

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled Associate Infrastructure Production Engineer to ensure GPU hardware validation and readiness across our global production environment. The role focuses on Linux, Python scripting, and automation to reduce deployment risk.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to refine testing processes, close automation gaps, and build solutions that improve production standards and reliability. This is a visibility role in a high-growth tech company.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for validation and testing.
  • Ability to document commands, observations, and outcomes clearly.
  • Proficient in Linux with production experience.
  • Experience designing Python and shell scripts for diagnostics and automation.
  • Familiarity with Ansible or similar configuration tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to collaborate with teams.
  • Understanding networking concepts like DHCP, IPv6, and ICMP.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated diagnostic and validation frameworks for production GPU hardware.
  • Support Python-based agents, services, APIs, and Ansible automation for provisioning and monitoring.
  • Analyze workload performance and thermals to improve validation methods.
  • Evolve testing and verification for production onboarding and RMAs.
  • Build tooling to gate hardware deployment and enforce quality.
  • Document system designs, automation logic and operational guidance; track in Jira.
  • Identify gaps in testing and design solutions with engineering teams.
