Perplexity is building a dedicated platform team to own and hide the complexity of GPU infrastructure behind a unified, self-serve platform for training and inference workloads. You will design and own systems that let researchers launch training jobs and operate inference services without managing GPU provisioning or provider-specific infrastructure.

You will oversee provisioning, lifecycle management, reliability, and capacity integration across providers, delivering a consistent compute

Qualifications

• Deep Kubernetes experience with custom operators, CRDs, and multi-cluster federation.
• Experience managing GPU clusters at scale, NVIDIA hardware, CUDA networking.

Responsabilités

• Build a self-serve compute platform for launching training jobs and inference services.
• Operate GPU fleet with provisioning, lifecycle management, and cross-provider capacity integration.
• Solve GPU scarcity with scheduling and placement logic across providers.
• Support long-running training workloads while ensuring low-latency production inference.
• Own Kubernetes for GPU orchestration across multiple clusters and providers.
• Build fault tolerance, auto-scaling, and observability for fleet resilience.
• Set technical direction with cross-team collaboration to shape platform architecture.
