Independence Excavating is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The role involves daily safety maintenance, equipment operation, and coordination with staff on large heavy civil construction and demolition projects.

A typical day includes pre-shift checks, keeping equipment in safe working order, and communicating needs for maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3-5 years of experience, GPS experience, and be able to pass a drug screen.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years' experience operating heavy equipment.
• GPS experience required.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must work in the field (100%), in all weather conditions.
• Current Union member with IUOE or willing to join.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily safety maintenance and checks.
• Operate heavy equipment safely in the field.
• Inform management of maintenance or major repairs.
• Coordinate with staff and other crews on site.
