Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated in Texas is seeking a GPS-experienced excavator operator to support loading trucks and piping, digging trenches and maintaining equipment. You will work on site to move earth and materials, following on-site procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating the hydraulic shovel, loading trucks, and performing routine maintenance while ensuring accuracy of trench dimensions and material handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Proper certification required.
• Appropriate training and experience required.
• Must be able to operate hydraulic shovel and load trucks.

Responsibilities

• Loading Trucks and Pipe.
• Moves hand and foot levers to control hydraulic shovel.
• Uses shovel to dig trenches and holes of specified length, depth and width.
• Removes loosened material and transports to piles or trucks.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
