Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a field operator to support earthmoving and land-prep tasks in Honey Grove, TX. You will operate tractors and bulldozers, attach and adjust equipment, and follow engineering drawings to achieve precise grades while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an apprenticeship, and GPS experience. Physical stamina and a readiness to work in dusty environments are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program required.
• GPS experience preferred.
• Read engineering drawings.
• Practice good safety habits.
• Physically able to stoop, bend, and crouch; lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor with concave blade to gouge, level, and distribute earth.
• Push trees and rocks from land preparatory to constructing roads and buildings.
• Attach attachments to tractor and connect hydraulic hoses, belts, or power takeoff shaft to provide power.
• Move levers to control tool bars, carriers, and disks; tilt attachments as needed.
• Drive bulldozer in passes to raise or lower terrain to grade.
• Grease, oil, and repair tractor as needed.
