Job summary

Ziply Fiber seeks a Local Government Relations Manager to lead relationships with local governments, public works, utilities, and community leaders. You will help navigate permitting and right‑of‑way processes while supporting Ziply Fiber’s network expansion.

You will provide critical local insight to internal teams to aid timely project execution and to maintain positive community partnerships, with emphasis on collaboration, problem solving, and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a customer support centric environment.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with local governments, public works departments, utilities, and/or agencies involved in right‑of‑way, permitting, construction oversight, or municipal coordination.
• Experience navigating governmental processes, municipal codes, public works standards, and utility coordination requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Public policy/compliance implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Applications.
• Ability to lead and manage projects and tasks while effectively representing Ziply Fiber is essential.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Engage with local leadership to understand objectives and resolve issues timely.
• Support leadership in resolving right‑of‑way, permitting, pole attachment/joint use and similar issues across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to provide local insights for project execution and community relationships.
• Maintain consistent service levels and track complaint resolution performance.
• Cultivate relationships with local chambers, economic development councils, and community groups.
