Position Overview

Oversees a group of individual government projects linked together through a shared organizational goal or common area of impact. This programmatic grouping of multiple projects provides synergy, consistent management, and greater visibility to stakeholders than individually managed projects.

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for the consistent delivery and relationships pertaining to government projects
  • Provides a consistent level of governance and application of standards across multiple projects. Project statuses to be rolled up for a global view; allowing for baseline quality requirements to be evenly and equally enforced.
  • Status reporting requires considerable written, verbal, and organizational communication capabilities. Must deliver comprehensive yet efficient status updates to a broad audience in multiple formats with the appropriate level of detail.
  • Direction setting based on contractual requirements is required to inform and shape the scope and schedule of individual projects. Objectives and deadlines must be clear, the project manager must be willing to ask hard, probing questions to determine how projects are truly progressing and take necessary actions to meet contractual obligations.
  • Problem-solving skills required. When obstacles, challenges, and resistance arise, must be willing to dive into the details and assist in creating action plans to ensure the program success.
  • Create alignment across multiple teams or lines of business to ensure alignment of project and company goals.
  • Project manager must be able to spot, track, and triage risks as they arise, escalating when required without continually sounding the alarm.
  • Project manager must constantly interpret project progress and tie it back to budgets, deadlines, and strategic objectives. Projects must be well-documented.
  • Oversight of GFP/GFE accountability for government contracts

  • Knowledgeable on CUI and OPSEC requirements
  • Capable of successful attainment of CAC card if needed.
  • Experience with government data entry utilizing government web based systems
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High Performance teams and strong team player
  • Able to work with little guidance
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, including design for manufacture ability and lean manufacturing
  • Able to perform troubleshooting and maintenance and repair tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualifications
  • BS Degree preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • 10 years industrial/government experience preferred
Work Environment
  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas were certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
  • For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
  • Travel required for project support, mostly in an outdoor environment
Physical Demands
  • Sit or stand as needed
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
