The Department of Law - Colorado seeks an Assistant Attorney General for the Specialized Business Group. The attorney will provide general counsel services and litigate for divisions of the Colorado Department of Revenue, including the DMV and related programs.

Qualifications

• Litigation experience or demonstrated interest in developing litigation skills.

• Eagerness to learn about governmental practice and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Represent one or more divisions within the Colorado Department of Revenue in litigation and as general counsel.
• Litigate administrative cases and handle district court and appellate matters as needed.
• Interpret statutes/regulations and assist with rulemaking matters.
• Advise clients across divisions and related agencies and develop appellate writing expertise.
