Job summary

Kearney & Company is seeking a Manager to join our Government-focused audit practice. The Financial Audit Manager will lead engagement staff, design audit plans, and maintain productive client relationships while communicating effectively with audit stakeholders.

This role requires strong communication, project management skills, and a deep understanding of audit standards. Competitive salary with eligibility for bonuses is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university.
• CPA license.
• At least 4 years of accounting and/or auditing experience.
• Management/leadership experience.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher) and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide the first line of supervision to a team of accounting professionals and support staff.
• Oversee the quality control function, including work paper review.
• Understand Government Auditing Standards and perform audit procedures and financial analysis.
• Deliver quality work products with minimal direction from supervisor.
• Supervise and review work performed by staff and develop people through delegation and guidance.
• Provide SME in financial management areas (financial reporting, internal control, financial systems).
• Review draft deliverables and present final results to management.
• Assist Partners and Senior Managers in proposals, business development, and practice administration.
• Utilize technology to share knowledge and develop team skills.
