SentiLink Corp is expanding its government affairs practice in Washington, DC and across multiple states, seeking a sharp Government Affairs Manager to lead advocacy strategy with Congress, regulators, and industry coalitions. The role directs contracted lobbyists and collaborates with Public Sector sales, marketing, and leadership to shape policy and support SentiLink’s mission.

You’ll own the strategy and cadence for contracted lobbyists across DC and state capitals, ensuring teams enter rooms

Role

SentiLink is expanding its government affairs work in Washington, DC and in a growing number of states, and we’re looking for a sharp, policy-savvy Government Affairs Manager to lead advocacy strategy with Congress, federal regulators, and industry coalitions, and to direct SentiLink’s full bench of state and federal lobbyists. In addition to advancing federal policy initiatives and direct lobbying, you’ll work closely with Public Sector sales, marketing/comms, and executive leadership to help shape the policy environment that supports SentiLink’s mission.

This role gives you real ownership: you’ll set the strategy and cadence for every contracted lobbyist we work with, in Washington and in the states, so our advocacy stays sharp and our team is better enabled and more effective when they walk into the room with the right people.

This role reports to the Head of Public Policy & External Affairs, and inherits a function with clear priorities and foundation already in place, with the expectation that you’ll expand it. It will require frequent in-person engagement with stakeholders across the DC area, including Capitol Hill (House and Senate, Republicans and Democrats), federal agencies, and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day federal advocacy, building and maintaining relationships across Congressional offices in both parties and chambers, with particular depth on Financial Services/Banking, Ways and Means/Finance, and Appropriations committee staff.
• Direct SentiLink’s bench of contracted federal and state lobbyists and consultants, setting priorities and a regular cadence of engagement, and translating their work into the budget-cycle and procurement insight our Public Sector sellers need to close.
• Serve as a trusted resource on policy issues affecting identity verification, fraud prevention, and financial services, in direct support of Public Sector sales cycles (RFP language, identity standards, procurement timing).
• Lead engagement with trade associations and coalitions (RDA, ETA, CBA, ABA, and similar), managing SentiLink’s participation and extracting more value from existing memberships.
• Build a state-level ability to monitor and report on state legislative and regulatory developments on issues related to data brokers, privacy and identity.
• Prepare briefing materials and talking points for internal and external stakeholders, and represent SentiLink in meetings, hearings, roundtables, and industry events.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in public policy, government relations, or legislative affairs, ideally with a combination of time on Capitol Hill, at a trade association, or a regulated fintech/financial services environment.
• Working knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes, especially related to financial services or identity, and the ability to pick up state-level processes quickly.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with bipartisan credibility. You've built (or are excited to build) working relationships across the aisle, House and Senate, not just within one party's orbit.
• Excellent writing and public speaking ability: comfortable drafting comment letters, testimony, and briefing memos, and representing SentiLink on a conference panel or in a room of policymakers with equal confidence.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
• A proactive, self-starting mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
• Genuine interest in going deep on fraud, identity, privacy and data policy. This is not a generalist policy seat; you'll be expected to develop real subject-matter depth quickly.
